The Group holds meetings twice yearly, in April and October at the Union Jack Club, Sandell Street, Waterloo, London, near Waterloo Railway Station. Meetings are informal, start at 1.30 pm. with a live auction and are followed by displays by members on a set theme or topic. It is a good opportunity to discuss the material displayed and ask questions about any aspect of Sudan stamps and postal history. Non members are most welcome at a meeting if they are interested in joining.

• The next London meeting will take place at the Union Jack Club on April 21, 2012. This meeting will discuss Wartime Substitute Papers together with a New Acquisitions and Questions/Answers session. Members are requested to bring along as much material a possible so as to look into the question of substitue paper, dates of use, etc. We regret that there will be no auction at this meeting due to no material being offered to the Sales Secretary for sale. We hope to have an auction at the October meeting so members are requested to send their priced lists of items for inclusion in that auction before the end of May please. The meeting normally commences at 1.30pm.
• The following meeting will be on 20 October 2012 also at the Union Jack Club.
Looking forward to seeing you at the October Meeting - all visitors welcome.
A highlight of the Group’s activities is the conference held every two years, usually at a hotel in the provinces. It gives members and guests the opportunity to participate in a specific study topic, to view and discuss displays by leading Sudan philatelists and postal historians, display items from their own collections, take part in a competition, live auction, bourse and exchange information during a residential weekend.
